Children, youth, and adults in West Africa, Liberia is in need of education, healthcare, and relief aid. This fund will help and empower residents of Gessi town in Liberia with much-needed assistance. They will have access to free education, healthcare, library, and computer lab. Currently, children living in that town walk 2 miles to school, and healthcare such as clinics or hospitals are not located in that area. The need to erect such a facility is needed. The 1st phase of our project is completed. "Even the smallest footprints can leave an imprint on this world" We are devastated by the passing of our daughter Eleanor Diane Ruth Marcell. On Sunday, November 1st, Jason and I went to the emergency room. After monitoring, no fetal movement or heartbeat was detected. I delivered our daughter stillborn at 9:20 am on Tuesday, November 3rd. Our little miracle measured 17” and weighed 5 lbs 4 oz. Her gestational age on November 1st was 34 weeks, 6 days. We are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support of all that have surrounded our family in the last weeks. During the unimaginable grief we experienced during our hospital stay from November 1st through the 5th, we were comforted by the ability to spend time with our daughter in our room through the use of a Cuddle Cot. Cuddle Cots are a sort of small refrigeration system used in a bassinet that helps slow decomposition, thus allowing bereaved parents like us the gift of time with our baby. Jason and I took solace in the fact that our precious baby did not need to spend any time in a morgue because of this device. Instead, she was with us and our nursing staff until the funeral home came to pick her up. Unfortunately, Cuddle Cots are not available in all hospitals in Louisiana, and the overall number of Cuddle Cots in Louisiana is extremely low. To honor our beloved baby, we are seeking to raise funds to donate a Cuddle Cot in her memory and pass on the gift of time to other parents experiencing the gut-wrenching loss we experienced. We are partnering with The Ardent Foundation to acquire and donate a Cuddle Cot to Ochsner Kenner’s birthing center, which currently does not have any Cuddle Cots. And if our Go Fund Me is so blessed we might be able to donate more Cuddle Cots to additional hospitals all over the state of Louisiana. From Intuitive VETS ERG, please help this season in support of the VFW National Home for Children campaign. VFN National Home for Children is a neighborhood of military and veteran families located in Eaton Rapids, Michigan and the neighborhood consists of 42 single-family homes. Families can live at the National Home for up to 4 years and have the opportunity to accomplish significant life goals by working one-on-one with a case manager. All families have access to educational, recreational, and enrichment services, as well as free housing and daycare. Your help through donations during this challenging year will enable the National Home to purchase items from their Amazon Wish List. All items on the list are needed for the day to day operations throughout their facility and will continue to support the important work that they are doing for military and veteran families. Project Oasis is helping farmers in India by making water supply available throughout the year. Agriculture and drinking water are made available through means of rainwater harvesting which is achieved by building check dams. The project has already completed construction for 8 dams providing water to more than 12 villages. These check dams have transformed the lives of more than 10,000 villagers and farmers. Przystan Medyczna NGO is dedicated to providing medical aid to destitute and homeless people, who are socially excluded. In the age of the pandemic, they have established a helpline, which has been used 220 times so far. Every phone call is followed by intervention, when young doctors & med students visit places where their homeless patients live. NGO provides them with not only medical aid but also clothes and other essential articles. Interventions are implemented with the help of an ambulance, which is not only a vehicle but also a space for comfortable and safe examination. The ambulance they currently use was donated to the Foundation in 2018 as used vehicle. Unfortunately, it is now in a poor technical condition owing to its age and frequent use. The repair costs exceed financial capacities. Therefore, we need to raise funds for a new one. Przystan Medyczna relies predominantly on donations, that is why we are kindly asking you for your support in buying a new Ambulance. We would appreciate any assistance!

COVID got the best of me I’ve received an eviction and now me and my child are homeless and I don’t know what to do right before Christmas

This project will help a group of orphans in Bulgaria taken care of by one parent or guardians. We are aware of the difficult reality in our country, so we try to support them and keep them in the remaining part of the family. And is there a better cause than helping the youngest? We chose to give a hand to the children who have gone through the misfortune of losing a parent at such a fragile age. Above all, we strive to help in the poorest regions of Bulgaria, where the opportunities for work and development are limited and it is much more difficult to cope with the situation. Thus, our priority is all the poor children – the future of the country. With monthly contributions based on the number of orphans in a family, we try to offer a better life, meeting the basic needs. You can help us transform lives of children who are deaf or hard of hearing, teaching them to listen, speak, and learn through: proven spoken language and cognitive development curriculum family-centered education innovative technology Our intensive education and therapy program teaches listening and spoken language to children who are deaf or hard of hearing (D/HH) so they can close the gap with hearing peers and succeed in mainstream education starting in the first grade. A child who misses this window of neurological development will probably spend his or her school days in special education classes, falling progressively further behind, which is the outcome for up to 90% of children who are D/HH. Technology Opens the Door: Cochlear implants and advanced hearing aids give babies and children access to sound, and those technologies are continually improving. Babies are being implanted before the age of one. However, access to sound is not enough for children to acquire language. Language Requires Early & Intensive Intervention: Optimal age for acquiring language is 0 - 3. After that, the developing brain prunes unused neural pathways and it becomes increasingly difficult for children to listen, speak, and learn as they get older. These babies and children need intensive language instruction and therapy and they need it early, when they are 0 - 3 Our Programs: We operate a Center of Excellence in Redwood City that serves families throughout the Bay Area. Our BabyTalk Teleintervention Program, a partnership with the Stanford School of Medicine, provides in-person speech and language therapy via video link to families of children ages 0-3 who are D/HH throughout California. BabyTalk offers service in English and Spanish. Our Results: We make a difference! From our survey of alumni spanning our 53-year history, 81% of our adult alumni are college students or hold a bachelors degree or higher. This compares with the national average that includes the 90% of children who miss the window: 50% of children in the U.S. who are D/HH finish high school at a fourth grade level of literacy or below (Traxler). COVID and Need: Distance learning and masks create even greater challenges for children who are D/HH. Our specialized distance learning program served 100% of our families during stay-at-home, allowing them to maintain pace of learning. Now we are back on-campus, following COVID protocols. This year is financially challenging because school district budgets are tight, in-person fundraisers are cancelled, and more families are requesting tuition assistance. Friendship Circle of NJ promotes a greater awareness and understanding of the unique needs and the unique gifts of people with special needs, and encourages respect and empathy for those facing challenges. Children and teens with special needs and their families benefit from a wide array of innovative respite, social, and recreational programs. The Volunteer Club motivates, inspires and enriches the lives of the teen mentors.

Emmanuel Cancer Foundations supports families with children 18 and under who have cancer with financial support; food; gifts for Christmas and birthdays; emotional and social support.
