A group of students with a heart that beats for others, joined forces in 1992 to answer the cries for help from the needy worldwide. They wanted to improve the world from their small attic room in Amsterdam. From this willpower, Islamic Relief Nederland was founded. The first Orphan Project soon became a fact and three decades later it is still the most successful project of Islamic Relief Nederland. In 30 years, Islamic Relief Nederland has grown into one of the largest Islamic humanitarian aid organizations in the world. A foundation that has projects running in more than 29 countries. A foundation that has undergone enormous development. As we look to the future, we are always learning, developing and improving, to improve the living conditions of the poorest and needy people.

Islamic Relief Nederland is currently active in 29 countries. We have been doing this with passion and dedication for almost 30 years. During this period, millions of people in need have been helped and thousands of donors have joined our foundation. With this help, thousands of lives are provided with perspective and hope every year.
