The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project is best known for its 24/7 Crisis Support Line that aims to save the lives of LGBTQIA2+ youth. We've chosen to support them this Trans Awareness Week because trans and nonbinary youth are some of the most at-risk and most in need of these services. Outside of their crisis work they also do a lot of great things for the LGBTQIA2+ community: they provide a moderated online community for folks to find support from their peers, they conduct research and surveys to better understand what the community is facing, and they educate teachers, coaches, and counselors to be able to better help at risk kids. They also engage in advocacy across all levels of government to create laws that protect LGBTQIA2+ young people.
