The Lab SF
The Lab gives significant funding, time, and space to traditionally underrepresented artists. We seek to transform alongside artistic practices in order to engage meaningfully with visionary communities whose economic and cultural realities have been ignored for too long, to the impoverishment of us all. In this, The Lab is a catalyst for artistic experimentation.
CounterPulse
CounterPulse is a dynamic movement of experimental art that sparks personal transformation and builds enduring community. We provide space and resources for emerging artists and cultural innovators, serving as an incubator for the creation of socially relevant, community-based art and culture. CounterPulse acts as a catalyst for art and action; creating a forum for the open exchange of art and ideas, sparking transformation in our communities and our society. We work towards a world that celebrates diversity of race, class, cultural heritage, artistic expression, ability, gender identity, and sexual orientation. We strive to create an environment that is physically and economically accessible to everyone.
Root Division
Root Division connects creativity and community through a dynamic ecosystem of arts education, exhibitions, and studios. Our mission is to empower artists, promote community service, inspire youth, and enrich the Bay Area through engagement in the visual arts. We provide discounted studio space for emerging artists in exchange for volunteer service in the community.OUR VISIONRoot Division’s vision is to be a model of creative excellence, sustainability, and collaboration as it empowers emerging artists to amplify art’s positive impact on society.
Womens Audio Mission
WAM is a San Francisco based nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of women, girls, and gender-expansive people in music/audio production, performing/recording arts, and creative tech, fields in which they are critically underrepresented (< 5%). Over 22+ years, WAM has provided training to 25,000+ underserved women, girls, and gender-expansive people and placed over 2,500 in careers in the music and audio industries. WAM trains 2,000+ underserved people a year (including 1,500 under-resourced Bay youth - 96% low-income, 92% BIPOC). WAM’s world-class studios are the only in the world built and run entirely by women and gender-expansive staff.
