In the summer of 1969, police raided a gay bar in New York City; the riots that ensued were a major turning point for the fight for gay rights in the United States. Since June 1970, LGBTQ+ folks, along with activists, advocates, and allies have continued to gather together in June to march with Pride. While there are still many obstacles the LGBTQ+ community faces, significant progress has been made over the past few decades. The 2023 Pride Fund supports organizations that promote the safety and advance the wellbeing of the LGBTQ+ community through advocacy, direct services, health accessibility, education, legal representation, and public policy changes. Through a single donation to the Fund, you can support multiple organizations' initiatives working to ensure acceptance, equity, and justice for all.

Direction Digital is a project that enables the continuing development of public -school teachers in educational digital technologies and the acquisition of equipment that can be utilized by students, in their homes, during COVID-19 and at school, after COVID-19, as well as food and school supplies for the most vulnerable students. Every $200 raised in this fund will be converted to a tailored DD Kit, deployed to families with kids from 04 to 14 years old and in partnership with APUSA NGO and its community those kits will impact in 2-3 kids access to education. Digital Inclusion is possible to the ones who need it most with collective effort. This fund goal is to enable 60 new kids per academic semester to have access to digital education.

Given the rise in violence and discriminatory laws against the Transgender community, this fund has been established to collect and disseminate funds to organizations around the globe that are supporting the community locally.

Following the eruption of La Soufrière Volcano in St Vincent, the UK & Ireland chapter of Connected Black Professionals (CBP) is coming together to show our support. Please join us in donating if you can.

In the past two weeks, we’ve seen a tremendous rise in anti-Semitism around the world. There have been numerous incidents of violence in NYC, California, London, and globally. Even within our own employee community, we’ve received reports of vandalism and hate speech inflicting fear and terror upon us and our loved ones. We cannot allow this kind of hate to continue, and must act to support this community, as Braze often stands with many other communities that experience hatred and discrimination. The Jews @ Braze ERG (#jab-erg) has been active for numerous years in support of Jewish life around the world. This violence against Jews cannot go unseen. No one should be targeted for their religious beliefs or cultural identity, or should be uncomfortable leaving their homes or loved ones. ChildFund – Green umbrella provide financial, physical, and emotional support for children with mental and physical damage, they work actively to make the world a happier place for children. They advocate the Rights of the Child (survival, protection, development, and participation), help the children in Korea can grow up in a healthy and safe environment.

Hands On Tokyo provides meaningful bilingual volunteer opportunities to foster volunteerism and develop leaders to serve the needs of our community. During this COVID-19 pandemic, they are focusing on “what can we do now to support our community,” and working with various community groups, to deliver masks, handmade PPE gowns and “Thank You Baskets.” Each of these includes a handwritten thank you message and various sweets. These are delivered to our partner hospitals, local hospitals, welfare facilities, etc.

Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) is a social service agency with a mission to improve the quality of life of children with cancer and their families and children impacted by cancer through enhancing their emotional, social and medical well-being.

Georgia House Rabbit Society (GHRS) was alerted to a hoarding situation in Dekalb County in May 2021. At the property, they found over 150 rabbits crammed into 8 hutches, living outside in filthy conditions. All of the rabbits were confiscated, triaged, and given immediate medical attention. Unfortunately, a few did not make it. But the remainder are safe and GHRS took in 125 bunnies. All of the confiscated rabbits needed vet care, including spaying/neutering and medical attention, including treating wounds from fighting, abscesses, mites, coccidia, syphilis, fleas, ticks, and sore hocks. Considering just a spay/neuter can cost $150-$180 per rabbit (not including other treatments that have been necessary), vet bills quickly mount up. The shelter could use our help! December 2021 Edit: This summer, one of the rabbits from the hoarding case suddenly died and came back positive for RHDV (a highly contagious and deadly virus in rabbits). The entire shelter had to be deep cleaned and closed for over 6 weeks for quarantine. While it increases the cost of sheltering each rabbit, every new rabbit that GHRS takes into the shelter must be vaccinated for RHDV as a precaution. November 2022 Edit: Can't believe it's been over a year since starting this fund! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! Although the shelter has adopted out many of the bunnies from this emergency intake, there are nine rabbits from this hoarding case still waiting to be adopted and have been at the shelter since May 2021. World Refugee Day, recognized annually on June 20, was established by the United Nations to celebrate and honor refugees around the world. According to the UN, every minute, 20 people leave everything behind to escape war, persecution or terror. More than 80 million people around the world have fled their homes, which is just the beginning of a long and difficult journey, often involving refugee camps, abrupt relocations, family separation, and unnavigable bureaucratic processes. The theme for 2021 is “together we heal, learn, and shine.” The shared experience of COVID-19 has shown us that we only succeed if we stand together. The 2021 theme is “The Ocean: Life & Livelihoods.” The ocean covers 70% of the planet and produces at least half of the available oxygen; it is home to the vast majority of earth’s biodiversity, is a major source of food for billions around the world, and is a key driver of global economies. However, 90% of big fish populations are depleted, more than 50% of coral reefs are destroyed, and we are taking more from the ocean than can be replenished. The second wave of COVID is devastating India. Ahmednagar District, where Snehalaya operates is one of the worst-hit with no beds, oxygen, or medicines available to our largely rural population. We are pressuring authorities to improve the situation while also operating our own medical facilities & offering vital support to as many of the 150,000 plus in our district who have tested positive with COVID. Since March 2021 a flood of positive cases has overburdened medical facilities throughout our district and in April we were in the top ten worst-affected districts in India with over 1,000 new cases a day. With high demand & limited medical facilities available for COVID patients it is the poorest in society who are hardest hit. Cases of trafficking, child marriage, and domestic violence are also increasing & access to support is limited by lockdowns. Our 100-bed hospital is currently treating around 3000 COVID patients a day & a 150-bed COVID Care Center has free medical & quarantine facilities for asymptomatic patients & those with mild to moderate symptoms. Outreach work, ambulance services, community radio, and 24/7 helplines are helping us reach 5 million people, including women and children who are victims of the shadow pandemic causing increased domestic violence, child marriage & trafficking cases. Potential Long Term Impact By supporting the most vulnerable groups with medical support during the current second wave we will improve their chances of surviving the pandemic crisis and reduce the number of people requiring our help once the crisis ends. We will also provide women and children with the help and services they need right now and will also help them to rebuild their lives once the pandemic has been contained. The Macquarie Dublin office has a special association with the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. A number of years ago we sponsored the training of a puppy “MacDub” to become a qualified Assistance Dog. MacDub was placed with his family and quickly became “Best Friend” to Leon, a young boy with autism. MacDub is still working away as professionally as ever with his family and making a huge difference in their lives. This year Macquarie AirFinance in Dublin is getting involved with the IGDB annual fundraising campaign and taking on the challenge of walking, running or cycling 100km throughout the month of May! The money raised will enable the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind to change the lives of people who are vision impaired and the families of children with autism. A fund to honor Judy Groth's passing and her substantial and lasting contributions to Oakville and the Napa community as owner and founder of Groth Vineyards & Winery. Her family has requested that donations in her memory be contributed to Collabria Hospice.
